I was at Mountain Equipment Co-op last night and they had these Outlast gloves on sale for $12. these gloves are perfect for using with a camera because they are low profile and have rubber grip pads attached to the fingers and palms. camera shops sells something very similar from Lowepro for $30. might as well stock up now.
i'm looking to get some used lighting gear that is portable so i can bring it around with me. does anyone know of anyone or any place that has used stuff? i'm looking at the lumedyne 200w/s units, but i have zero experience with them. i'd appreciate any advice as well on brands or things to watch out for. thanks, yo!
i don't know if anyone has noticed but Shutter at the Thought was recently shut down. kenny apparently endured personal attacks from one person through blog comments and emails to the point where he decided to wind the site down. this is just too bad because he's such a great guy and had a really popular site going. within 3 months, he climbed all the way to the top 100 photoblogs list.
along the same vein, an anonymous person also lashed out at jessyel over at DailySnap.com a few days back. seeing all this stuff really bothers me.
