New series from our USA trip

Hi Albertans :-)

We just start getting back no normal routine... It ain't easy after 5 weeks of holidays, I tell you ;-). Soon enough you'll see me coming back to your photologs.. I guess I've missed a lot!

Anyways, we'd love to share our new series from our USA trip with you. It's from Canyonlands National Park in Utah... an amazing place, which photos can't do justice to... but still... here it is.

Welcome Back

A big welcome back to Lorien and Joe from their vacation.  They started off their vacation photo reveal with these wonderful photos of upper antelope canyon.  Go now and marvel and the wonder  : )

Welcome back you two - I for one am looking forward to seeing more photos from what I am sure was an amazing trip !!!

View of the River (Fort McMurray)

AthabascaYesterday I did go to a scenic view on one of the trails in town, here is a view of the Athabasca river veiled by some leaveless trees.

I'll be adding this and more to my album later today - will edit this post to refect that when I do.
EDIT:  I have posted the rest of the photos from yesterdays outing.  You can see them here!

I thought it would be

Dsc_0198I thought it would be fun to post this shot on the Alberta Bloggers site. Can anyone guess who this might be?  Hint: a Calgary based photoblogger working hard and putting it all on the line for that great shot.

Things are moving fast

My big thanks to Darlene for pulling this one off, sooner than everyone expected. And also to Lorien for offering to do the site's design, I'm sure it's gonna be great!

Though we are starting really small, I know our community would soon be bigger.  The timing is just perfect as winter's definitely behind us, and Alberta photogs that hibernate on winter would definitely start coming out to shoot.  We just have to find them and lead them here =)

Cheers to all of us!

Oh by the way, I got lucky being dragged by my wife on a barbecue picnic with her friends last weekend.  It was at Hawrelak park, and I had the opportunity to shoot some birds around the pond area.  Go see my photos hereThe best spot I think is the farthest from the main entrance, south-southwest part of the pond I think.

skyline

0507silhouette From my office window, I am constantly amazed at the dance of the skyline.  Mostly, I wanted to test out the functionality of posting images.  Yup, it seems to work.  I am thinking it might be nice to be able to post galleries under the category section.  Will have to do some posting to see if this works as time goes on.  Ah, the possibilities.
