New Members Abound

Please welcome Peter Boytang to our group.  Peter is from Sherwood Park and his blog can be found at space hut observatory and his site at spacehutobservatory.ca.  Peter has some amazing landscapes that made me gasp for breathe!  Check out his beautiful collection.

Also, please do both welcome and check out Jason Dorn's photoblog over at revolution.  When most of us visit the breathtaking vistas of Banff, we photograph mountains and skyscapes and craggy peaks of wildness but Jason gets up close and personal as can be seen at fall stuff and in a van down by the river.

New photobloggers abound!!

I also want to welcome Mech (Dennis Pozniak) and Masterdrummer (the son of our very own Talk with Desiree).  Yes, I am opening this up to those with flickr blogs.  A new format and structure around this in the new design :)

introducing snapboy

Well, it was inevitable in the ol' daisies and duke household that Aiden would dive into the camera scene.  He has been regularly taking photos for the past few months so I finally succumbed and he now has a photoblog, brand spanking new at SnapBoy.  So welcome our youngest alberta photoblogger, Aiden :)

new member welcome

Kudos out to Dale of spunwithtears for bringing some new alberta photobloggers to my attention.  Ironically, I already was a frequent visitor of uncommon depth so was amazed to learn that this wonderful photoblogger is Albertan.  Wow - just goes to show you how clueless one can be ;-)  He also introduced me to the talented work of talk with desiree who lives up in the northern end which warms me to no end given I was born up in the northern parts of this province of ours though not quite that north : )  I wonder how many photobloggers are out there that we just don't know about?  I am willing to bet there are more than we think!  Thanks for the heads up Dale :)

2708.net

The big launch of Chris of 2807.net has revealed itself to be a wonderful, easy to use and clean lined beauty of a redesign.  Go check it out!

Do also click on his comments as he has interesting commentary like this going on, "Just saw this on Slashdot and had to say something about it. The last time I checked, Canada was a SOVEREIGN COUNTRY... We aren't an American state so as far as I'm concerned the U.S. can stay the hell away from our copyright laws. The Republicans can take their fascist views on human rights and cram them where the sun don't shine. Also, if your from the States and haven't been paying attention to you local federal politics lately, your wonderful politicians down there are about to pass a bill that would let them put you in prison for 3 years if you had mistakenly downloaded or obtained any copyrighted material. Yeah that's right, say you were downloading something you thought was completely legal but it turned out the file was named improperly and you were now in possession of copyrighted material... Well they'll throw you in prison. Have fun with that. Oh, and the bill has been pretty un-contested so you may want to call your local congressman and start complaining." (chris langstone).  I hope I'm not breaking any copywrite laws here ;-)
